  • Dr. Bastian Grande (USZ), Mona Weiss (ETH), Carl Schick (USZ) and PD Dr. Michaela Kolbe (ETH) won the SWISS QUALITY AWARD 2014 in the category "stationary sector” for their project "Über den Elefanten im Raum sprechen können - sogar in Akutmedizin: Simulationstrainings zur Verbesserung kommunikativer und klinischer Kompetenzen interprofessioneller Teams in der Akutmedizin”.

The project “Teaching Patient Safety to Medical Students - Integrating Safety Culture in Education” was awarded the German Award for Patient Safety, 3rd place. The project is led by PD Dr. Sven Staender, Spital Männedorf. PD Dr. Michaela Kolbe is a teaching faculty member of this course. The award is endowed with EUR 3500.

February 2014

Dr. Michaela Kolbe received the VENIA LEGENDI in the field of teaching Work- and Organizational Psychology due to her habilitation thesis "Explicit and Tacit Understanding: Studying and Training Teamwork in Acute Care Settings".
