Our international conference „Creating Uncertainty: Benefits for individuals, teams, and organizations“ in Ascona, Switzerland, July 1-5, 2018, was a great success with intense discussions among a wide spectrum of senior and junior scholars on how to move research on uncertainty forward.

Award winners

A best paper award was given to PhD students Anne-Marie Nussberger from the University of Oxford for her paper “Probability and magnitude evaluations in social versus individual decision-making under uncertainty “ (co-authors Jim A. C. Everett, Leiden University; Molly J. Crockett, Yale University; Nadira Faber, University of Oxford) and Reiner Schaefer from the University of Calgary for his paper “Knightian uncertainty: Not a constraint on knowledge, but a constraint on the usefulness of probablistic reasoning (with co-author Justin Weinhardt)
